Program

The content of exercise scenario is based on crisis in the area affected by natural disasters including earthquake, floods and chemical accidents with a great number of casualties and material damage.

The planned concept principally includes the SAF third mission contents (providing support to civil authorities in natural disasters and catastrophes).

The area affected by natural disasters and chemical accidents is the broader environment of Nis.

The engagement of medical capacities and medical support through deployment of the units of defense system of the Republic of Serbia and immediate assistance of foreign elements in crisis prevention are dominant in the exercise. Beside SAF and MoD capacities, the plan is that representatives of Ministry of Interior, firemen, Resources Ministries (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), district, municipality and local authorities, civil protection staffs and Red Cross of Serbia participate in the exercise in order to provide support to civil authorities in solving natural disaster consequences.

According to the exercise scenario, the units of the defense system of the Republic of Serbia will be joined in their respond to potential crisis situations, possibility of joint operation with representatives of neighboring countries and international partners in different crisis prevention through provision of support to state authorities in prevention of accidents and natural disasters consequences.

Academic part of the exercise, lasting 7 days, is conducted in Knjaz Mihailo barracks. Practical presentation of a part of resources used in the exercise is conducted at the Nis Airport.
